Three Links

Naomi Klein recently asked filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron ("Y Tu Mama Tambien" and "Children of Men") for a dust jacket blurb for her new book "The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism". He responded with this short film, which serves as a decent introduction to Klein's controversial bestseller: www.youtube.com/user/shockdoctrine

"Malllife" (with shades of the late Ninjalicious, who spoke at Mercer in 2005) documents artist Michael Townsend's 750-square-foot loft built inside a shopping mall in Providence, Rhode Island. The site includes a short film, a brief history and even apologies to the security guards and police officers who arrested him (he was sentenced to probation today). www.colincantread.com/Yoto/Malllife.html
